Creek House
Residential

Concept Design (2021)
This 750 sqf two bedroom is a compact guest house that is a companion across a meadow from the River House. It is situated near a creek that feeds into the Roeliff Jansen Kill River.
The exterior cladding is proposed as a greyscale palette of textures, punctuated by the natural wood tones of window and door frames. It consists of a charcoal colored-brick base that grounds the house in the terrain, and becomes the fireplace and chimney. Horizontal grey wood slats, and a charcoal standing seam roof add further texture.
The interior by contrast is bright and airy, organized around a corner view to the creek, that overlooks, with living, dining and kitchen areas. White oak floors and walls bring a warmth to the space.
